Last Day :(

Today is my last day at work. And after only working here 1 1/2 years, I'm shocked about how sad I am that I'm leaving. I finally found a position I enjoyed doing everyday and people I enjoy working with. I'm really going to miss it. On the way to work this morning, Loren asked me how I was feeling. The only thing I could say was nervous. I kind of feel like I'm starting a new job (well, I kind of am), but I feel like I'm leaving a wonderful part of my life behind.

It is amazing how the people at work show their appreciation for me. Many of the top executives were not going to be here today (travel), and they each made it a point to wish me luck and to let me know that they are always here for me no matter where I'm at in my life. Butch, the VP of Sales and Marketing even wrote me a sweet letter. Monica, the head of Customer Service, bought me one last baby gift to say thank you. Paul, the CEO, offered me help when and where ever I need it. I know if I ever need to look for another position any where in this world (literally world) that they have great contacts who they would give a great recommendation. I'm so grateful I was offered this job 1 1/2 years ago, and that I had the chance to meet all these wonderful people. I will really miss everyone and everything.

36-37 Weeks

I was 36 weeks last Thursday, but didn't get around to taking a picture until today. Therefore, I'm pretty much 37 weeks. We went to the doctor today and got a check up. Everything is right on track. I only gained 1 1/2 pounds in the past 2 weeks, which I'm very excited about. I'm also dilated between 1-2 cm. The doctor says that I will have this baby on or before the due date. We are really hoping that it is before as long as it is healthy. We have started the weekly checkups and have started the count down.
After reading over 1000 resumes to fill my position at work, I finally decided on someone. She started last Thursday and is doing very well. For a pregnant lady that has so much to do before she leaves, it frustrates me that I have to walk her through everything. I know she wants to learn everything, but it just takes a long time. I guess I just have to learn to be patient. I can't believe my last day is on Friday. I'm very scared, but very excited.

Loren's new hair do for the new year

Need I say any more! I love my husband!

34+ weeks

I haven't updated my blog in a long time. Life has been very busy with selling both cars, buying a new car, sewing the baby's room stuff, and just the exhaustion of being pregnant. As for the pregnancy, everything is going very well. I haven't gained any weight in the past month and the belly grew it's normal 4 cm those weeks, so the doctor and I are very happy. I'm sure the appointment tomorrow will show some weight gain. I've started getting hungry again and the baby feels like it has grown a ton. The baby moves all the time and the movements are getting stronger. Sometimes I have to push the baby away from my lungs and ribs. It is pretty neat when the baby does stretch out that I can push on the foot or leg and it will retract back in. I have had a few Braxton Hick contractions and actually had a painful contraction on Saturday. I'm trying to drink more water and relax more, but when you've got so much to do I can't lay still too long. And when I do lay down to rest, my belly really starts to hurt. I don't think I could be on bed rest, it would hurt too much. I do want to say thank you to my sweet husband for cleaning the house today, making stew and bread, and then rubbing my belly. Love you babe.

Our new car

We never thought we would go with a Ford again, but after driving this car we fell in love. We ended up purchasing a Ford 500. I've never been in a car with this much room. When you get into the front seats, it feels like you are getting into a SUV. You don't have to get down low to sit or anything. If you have the front seats pushed all the way back and I'm sitting in the back, I still have 7-10 inches between my knees and the front seat. Three adults can sit in the back seat comfortably, it is amazing. It is a 2007 and only has 18,000 miles. We are very excited about our purchase. I think it kind of looks like a grandma car, but I don't car one bit. Comparing it to the sportier cars we test drove, this one was so much better.
